Well, after i finished cleaning the TB earlier this week, i screw up and did not replace the IAT into the intake tube. Well, as you may have already been thinking, it's no longer there. The constant rubbing with the serpentine belt and/or fan has completely removed it from the system, along with the plug and about 2-3 inches of wire.

What years can i look at for a replacement? I've got a '96 OHV6.

If anyone is parting out their x, let me know.

Autozone has an "Air Charge Temperature Sensor" - p/n SU2004 - is this the sensor i'm looking for? I think this is it, b/c it asks if is the the push in or screw in type. I need the push-in type and still need the plug, too.

They've also got an "Ambient Temp. Sensor" - p/n SU2181 - but it's special order only.

you could solder the wires directly to the sensor and get some kind of connector like this

Go to your local Ford dealer, they have recently made available hundreds of common wiring connectors and hard shells, and they are not at all expensive.

thanks for the input...still not sure if the autozone sensor is what i need, but i'm sure if i actually got off my a$$ and went to the store i could tell if i saw it.

DOH! I shouldn't have thrown out my eBay HP mod (resistor) last month - i could've slapped that baby in there and "Bye-Bye CEL!"

Hey, Chopin, wanna mail me one?
