I thought ex's were Strong!!

It shouldn't be bogged down with just a table and passengers. I once loaded my truck, rear seats lowered and passenger seat extracted ( ) with rocks for the rock wall in front of my yard. I literally loaded the truck so much I think it was on the verge of bottoming out in the rear as I was seeing the pretty blue sky as I was driving. It drove with the same amount of power but the ride quality was certainly hindered...thinking back on that experience really shows how dumb I was.:D

It might just be a coincidence, but you might want to see if the catalitic converter is toasted. I had that problem on my CJ7 and Jeep Cherokee. The cats corroded, and the internal parts would break loose and block the flow. The result was a sluggish response and lack of power. On the Cherokee, I also noticed overheating.

I've checked the cats by getting under the vehicle, and tapping it with a rubber mallet. If you hear stuff rattling that might be a place to start.

Best of luck,
jetmaker
