I wanna jump

well i ride motocross and and catching 30 feet of air isn't really anything to me and it should of been nothing for me when i caught six feet in my truck well i thought i caugt like 12 feet but looking at the pic i definetly didn't but i won't do that again too hard on my truck

i did this once in my first car, 17 days after i got my license. i hit some railroad tracks that had a pretty steep incline on both sides (i'm thinking alec was on the same ones, if he did his in houston) at about 45 mph. the car must have caught about 3 to 4 feet, because when i came down sparks were flying like it was the fourth of july!! i had a quarter inch skid plate under the car and it bent up into the oil pan, crushing it. this caused all four connecting rods to come into contact with the pan on every revolution, which caused quite a racket. i also broke the oil pump in half. total bill for about three seconds of fun? $1500 and a loss of my car for like three weeks. jumping is bad....

i was just playing around on some dirt trails today with some friends and we came across this perfect old jump that was mostly lip with not much slope on the landing. well we went over it a few times to see how fast i needed to go to get a little air then we hit it pretty fast (im guessing about 30-35) and it was AWESOME. i had some heavy metal blasting but when we hit the lip of the jump it made the cd skip and it was completly silent in the car... i had 4 people in it and it was like slow motion, we all looked at eachother with just the whistling of the wind from the car flying through the air and then the landing was pretty hard. then we were all cracking up for like 10 minutes "hoooollly sh*********t... that was CRAZY!! etc etc..." then we just had to see how high we really got so 2 of them got out and me and my friend made another pass... same exact thing... music blasting, then silence, exchange "oh sh*t" faces in the air, then the landing. my friends guessed we were about 3-4' in the air... it was sooooooo fun! i havent noticed any damage to suspension yet but my engine now sounds like an old 80's pick up truck with that rough exhaust sound. i think the cat took a hard blow (on the v8 the stock cats hang down as far as the torsion mounts) and then something happened at the seal where the headers meet the exhaust piping to the cats.... but MAN WAS IT WORTH IT! :D
