I want to do a rear, vertical tire hanger off the back of the Explorer and in the under rear space where the factory spare tire is located I want a second fuel tank.
I'm thinking to have an inch clearance on each side between frame rails (left to right), have it an inch from the hitch back by the bumper and not quite as far as the sway bar & axle. Back by the hitch it'd be five inches top-to-bottom and toward the front having it six-ish inches top-to-bottom so fuel will gravity feed forward toward a fuel line.
I want it simple that I can have a front, lower gravity feed fuel line to merge in/ y-connection with the factory line just forward of factory tank and a second fuel line from the top of the "cell/tank" that would vent to??? so it would liquid balance fill as I pump gas into the factory gas tank
Help - any ideas so I can do this right?
Oh, and I figure I'll add a leaf in the back to counter additional weight
