My Explorer is completely stock, i bought it from my Grandpa and it shows. My problem is that it's Silver, and i just don't know what would look good on it. I've been thinking about getting black headlights and a custom black grille, and maybe painting my wheels black. Just don't know how its gonna look, and open to any and all suggestions. Thanks!

Have you looked through the Registry yet, and the 4th gen part of the Forum? I'm thinking of possibly doing an Eddie Bauer effect on mine in the future, but don't have any other ideas as of yet. Best wishes!

Similar issue here my is Cream and Chrome....🤮 Really nice truck for its job....to give my boys something to drive. Well now it's MINE since oldest son bought a honda and MY truck was killed....I have MANY ideas to bring this thing into what I prefer to drive. I got a SPECIAL idea for the headlights.. ;)
1. STEREO (just finished this)
2. Tint windows
3. LOWER TRUCK 2"
4. Remove ALL chrome (except wheels) and BLACK IT OUT
5. Redo all the black trim
6. Install positraction

My 2 other boys (16 and 14) were like..."Why would you do that"?....(I think my wife lied to me..)

Not much in the way of custom grills for these, but they do look nice painted. On mine, I painted the grill white. There's a nice write up on how to remove the grill, sand, prime it, etc. Use self etching primer. I didn't, mine has a few spots where it's flaking...

There's options for different headlights, etc. Do your research, get good stuff, not some cheap crap that will just waste money. I just put new lenses on mine and run some LED lights in 'em. Actually turned out nice and doesn't blind other drivers. I did aim them down just a tad since LEDs in a halogen housing tends to scatter the light everywhere..

Got LEDs inside as well, definitely makes it easier to see at night lol
