Got annoying squeak squeak, I originally thought it was the brakes, So i changed the pads and one rotor at the back. It looked pretty bad. I did all the precautionary things, lubricating the sliding bots, cleaning everything off etc. But its still there. I know its the back cause when i jack up the rear of the truck and put it in drive i can hear it , but its only as u let off the brake, it increases with speed, eventually u cant hear it at all. Doesn't occur in reverse. Its only as u let off the brake and the truck starts to move forwardcan you hear it.
Any ideas.? Parts guy said bearings, but I have second thoughts about that.

Thanks

Matt

Bearings was the first thing that popped into my head. It could also bad u-joints.

did you make sure to grease the friction points? My moms car was doing the same thing.. I took apart the rear breaks, but high temp grease on the friction points. Put it back together and the sound was gone.

Yeah I put it on all the parts that looked like the moved. I did the slide pins, behind the pads themselves.

Anywhere else?

No One else have any input on this?? :(

Could U-Joints make a brake like squeaking noise? Is their anyway to eliminate the brakes?

Thanks
