Ideas??

Hey guys I'm new here and bought an Explorer for a project until I'm done with school, I want to make it the explorer every one wants to ride in so if you guys have any ideas on just shoot them my way. Thanks I already started to rebuild the transmission to get it running those stupid cooler lines lol

Welcome to the forum. It all depends on what you want. You could drop it, paint it nice, sound system, etc. You could jack it up and stuff some sweet big mud terrains on it, winch bumper, lights, etc.
Or if you got money to blow you could make it fast lol

Thatll at least give you an idea, if you tell us more about what you want out of the truck, what your gonna be doin with it, etc we can guide you a lil more specifically.

Yeah that all sounds about good but I want it to look good and as well being able to take it off road for camping and what not. I defiantly want to put some bigger rims on there, the tires that are on there are to big and rub while turning. I also want to get some more power out of it I just don't know where to start or where to get the upgrades I'll need

As far as lifting, look into doin the torsion bar twist for the front, lift shackles or add a leaf for the rear, and the PA-883 body lift. All of that should give you about 4-5 inches of lift for maybe 300 bucks. In the Wheels and Tires section of the forum, there is a stickied post about max tire size with lifts, which will show what you can fit with what amount of lift. And in the Under the Hood section youll find threads about hoppin up the 4.0

Theres alotta info around the forums, lookin around at others posts using the search feature or just checkin out the different sections will teach you alot. Alot of people have tried one thing or another and posted results, so theres all kinds of ideas and tricks for these trucks

XLT99 im going to look into the lifts and i already checked out the tire chart thanks for pointing me in the right direction with that

I have the radio and all that under control I'm just having a hard time finding the wiring harness for the radio I've looked around and no one has it
