I've searched the threads, but haven't found anyone with the same problem I have, Although I could have missed some.

After extended periods of highway driving 4+ hours, the next time I start my explorer, the engine has trouble maintaing idle speed. I have to manualy regulate it with the gas pedal for the next 3-5 start-ups or drive it several miles before it is back to normal. Is this a problem I should look into, or does the computer just get "stuck" or "used to" the highway rpm? Thanks

it could be the throttle position sensor (TPS).
here's a thread where someone else with a 98 sport has trouble with the idle:

it could also be the IAC
