rough idle , etc....Ford put the truck on a diagnostics and it it was found to need a idle air control sensor. They want 250. to replace it. The part at NAPA is 50. Does any one know where the part is located. The mech at the dealership told me it is on the top of the engine....Gee thanks.

Great pics!!! Thanks, you just saved me 200.

$250 is rediculous. All it takes to install it is the removal of 2 bolts.

Taken by dealer on IAC

Yeah it's ridiculous alright. I got taken by a local Ford dealer for $180 last year. I didn't know where it was or even what it was at the time. Yup, 2 bolts and at a nice exposed working height to boot. Easier than replacing a ceiling light bulb at home.

A genuine Ford Motor Company IAC valve at rockauto.com sells for $55 plus shipping so it's a steal compared to $200 at the dealer with installation.
