Idle right switch

Hi I was wondering if someone could help me with what is the function of the “idle right” switch on the dash. Engine idle does not change. It does light up when turned on. it’s a 2015.

I wonder if that was an aftermarket install. No one has asked about it before and there is no mention of it in the PIU Owner's Guide.

Yea it’s after market but it’s something that police had installed.

If you know which department had it, perhaps you could try contacting them.

Idle Right is a Havis product that (if memory serves) monitors battery condition and only allows the engine to idle when necessary. Supposed to safe fuel while keeping battery charged for lights, etc.

I get the idea, and maybe it's just me, but Idle Right seems like a solution looking for a problem.
