v-6.............v-8............gas mileage about the same as far as that goes.i,d keep the small v-8.the v-6 is underpowered in my opinion and uses more gas to compensate .
the v-8 wont work as hard to get the vehicle moving .
i always wished they would have put the small v-8 in the sport body.that would be the ultimate sport explorer then.
the v-6 has way more issues as well.ask me how i know...lol...
