So I recently installed an IFab intake tube, just the tube since I already have the KKM filter, the tube did need a little compressing/flattening to make it fit under the hood since I have no body lift and didn't want to start lowering or cutting anything else. It fits, that's not my problem. My issue now is that the MAF has been moved so that now it doesn't sit nice and neat under the hood, instead it's in a location in which you end up compressing and pushing down on the entire MAF end of the tube and intake, specifically on the MAF, when you close the hood. Now I could probably cut out some of the heat shield under the hood or whatever that is, but I was also wondering, since I don't know too much about MAFs, could I just rotate the entire housing to the side or upside down and have it work? Or do the sensors have to be on top of your intake to get proper airflow readings? Any opinions or new ideas are appreciated at this point.

That is comforting. For how long have you had that setup? After I posted I did some brief researching and found mostly on mustang forums that people said there were huge differences in rotations due to how air follows outside curves. But if you saw no difference maybe I will go ahead and do it? You running any sort of tune?

Stock tune.

I haven't felt any kinda change.
By the way, I'm using the MAF off of a 4.6L V8 engine for the wider MAF, but I'm still using Explorer electronics. But the MAF is still between the first turn in the stock intake tube and filter, so it's not after any turns, it's still "straight" air.

Well I know what I'm doing now. Thanks for the help
