- 2011 Explorer XLT
Well guys, it has been a while since I have posted. My 99 XLT finally crapped the bed in late 2015. It gave me 220k+ miles and never really left me stranded. However, the timing chain guards finally gave out and were rattling pretty bad. It was still running at the time, but I didn't feel like sinking a bunch of time or money into fixing it. The 99 is still sitting in the driveway...maybe waiting for one day when I have the inspiration.
But until then...
Today we bought a used/certified 2011 XLT from the dealership. Cost a pretty penny, but was worth every cent. The vehicle is in immaculate shape with roughly 76k miles on it. Drives like a champ and looks like one.
As of now, no plans on modding it. At least not until it is paid off. It looks awesome stock.
