I'm getting my system tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, I'm so excited. Going to buy everything and get it installed tomorrow.Heres what i'm getting (in my black '98 sport)

2 12" Kicker CompVRs
Kicker speakers(Don't remember which ones)
Pioneer deck (don't remember which one!)
Amp (don't remember which one!)
And a ported box!

Acctually I think these are the speakers I'm getting....I just remmeber them looking like this (It's been a couple weeks)

I'll post for sure what All i'm getting tomorrow, but I know for sure its the compVRs, and a ported box (I'm getting it from a friend, He's selling it to me for $50 which I guess is a good deal because all of the places wanted around $175-200 to make me one.

Kind of odd that you really don't know what you're getting. If I was getting a new system, I'd sure as hell like to know what's going in my truck, or at least have some clue what I liked.

Well heres why I don't know. I went in there a few weeks ago and they quoted me for the comps and some amp that was yellow. I went back in there yesterday and told them I wanted the compVRs and asked how much more that would be and they just said $250.(I'll need a better amp) Then I left, because I'm going back today or tomorrow to get all the specs and stuff on everything.

Not flaming you. But maybe you should take someone in with you that has alittle more expertise than the color of amps. And i'd reccomend the blue amp they have twice the power j/k. Seriously though take someone with you that knows the lingo.

thats the last thing u need, nice subs with a ****ty amp. bad move, call and ask what kinda amp it is, becuase the only"decent" amp i can think of is lightning audio

whatever ohms and rms your subs are rated at, just try to find an amp that matches those specs. Some cheaper brands try to make you think they have a strong amp by playing with the numbers. The best way to tell the rms of an amp is to just multiply the fuses by 5 and thats about what the amp is putting out. But then again to confuse you more, some amp manufact. put a overly large fuse in to make you think theres is good, just go with a brand you've heard of before and you'll probably be good. IE alpine, mtx ect. A good amp will have exactly what rms it pushes measured and stamped onto it at the factory before it was shipped.

Ive been gone for a couple of weeks...did Lightning Audio become a good brand since then? I always heard terrible things about them. And I know first hand that Pyramid makes terrible stuff.
