i'm looking for average prices of bigger tires

Hey guys I have a 1999 Explorer XLT and I am thinking about getting some off-road tires and I want them to be big enough to be noticeable and possibly stick out the sides of the explorer. About how much on average do larger tires cost? and do I need to get new rims for bigger tires?
