Anyone heard one of these? I am trying to convince my sister into getting a sub for her 98 Honda Accord. She doesn't like it too loud, but I told her that having bass in your music makes it so much better, and it seems like she might get something. My question for you guys is if anyone has heard this to tell me if it is any good? It is an amplified 10" sub. The amp's rating is 200watts RMS, which I don't think is that bad for something so small. This would make the install so much easier, cause all I would have to do is tap into the rear speakers for it to work since she doesn't have a aftermarket HU, just the stock cd/tape thing, which actually isn't that bad. That and I would have to run a power and ground, but that isn't hard. And she wouldn't have to worry about buying a box, sub and amp, just the one unit. I saw a dutch auction on ebay for these and it was at $199 w/ 3 days left. Even if it did go to $300 I don't think that would be that bad either. Let me know about this, thanks.

i havent heard them yet. but infinity is a respectable brand, and any subwoofer is better than none at all. i'm pretty sure it wont hit really hard. but it will be an improvement on any stock system.

I have.... They are GREAT!!!!! For a small car install. Should be good for that honda. Several members of another car group I belong to have installed them. They are very good sounding, & produce nice bass. It's alot like a 10" Bazooka tube.

Cool, I think she may get it. I found a guy on ebay that will sell one to her for $230 shipped, which is $170(plus shipping) from crutchfield and this is brand new as well. Thanks for the help.

I would not reccommend them to anyone, of the ones we sell at work at least 80% come back.
I thought MTX was coming out with a thunderform for that car.
I am at home so I do not have my cataloge.

What were they comming back for?

They do not turn off or sometimes they do not turn on. Alot of them seem come back with the sub motorboating which is the sub just buzzing away on its own. Infinity said its a problem with the sensing circuit on the Hi-Level inputs.
We have also had alot of them with motornoise after installed and just could not get rid of it. I was even on with a Tech from Infinity when I installed on in our REPS VW that had motor noise and they could not figure it out either.

230 is a good price for a new one

I had a feeling that what it was. Simliar no turning off problem I have heard about. Seem it takes some 20min(or more)for the auto sensor to turn the basslink off. Some guys that have them installed put a relay, with a switch in it to manualy turn it off. No other problems though.
