Hi

I have had a problem with cold running for sometime(revs up and down) but seems to settle when warm, have checked everything including replacing MAF with a secondhand one,
anyway tonight decided to remove inlet manifold(it's off)as i have decided it must be intake air leak.
what i now require are replacement gasket kit. wonder if anyone can help?

thanks in advance any help appreciated

tom

Hey tom
Have you removed the lower intake also? it is just a spacer type thing but the orings under that are more likely to be the leaky ones.
I believe luis has a spare part for sale thread and has some lower o rings available.
If no one has any uppers then i think they are only about £15 from ford dealer.

Yes I do have a set. PM if you'd like one.

Hi

yes i have removed top and bottom.
i am also going to replace temp sender unit and maybe anything else while i have access.
i will pm luis

thanks for the help

lower manifold 107-123 in/lbs
upper manifold 53-62 in/lbs

start in the middle and spiral out. Also tighten in 2 or 3 stages

And don't confuse inches with feet! ;)

That a very good point, i should have stressed that. Best to use a smaller 3/8th or 1/4 inch drive torque wrench. A normal 1/2" drive torque wrench isn't sensitive enough at these low torque figures.

I bought a sealey one from ebay recently for £28 for use on my tranny.
When i did my manifolds i just used my calibrated right arm :D
