Hey anyone know the size of the crowfoot wrench needed to remove the inner tie-rod on a 98 EB 5.0 AWD. Seems none of the adapters that come with the tool from harbor freight don't seem to fit.

most people use a large pipe wrench.

Tip: don't turn the steering wheel with the engine OFF or you can introduce air into the system, which causes severe vibration, is scary and can be hard to remove.

thanks for the reply i returned the useless tool today, I actually was able to get them loose with my large adjustable wrench. Just gotta get it in for a alignment after i do lower ball joints. I know about turning the wheels without the engine, but mine usually works itself out after driving for a bit and turning the wheels lock to lock
