This is posted in my Ranger Registry as well, just thought I'd add it over here as well.

I need to recut the back wood piece to be even with the bottom piece, cover it in carpet, and do a different grounding spot (using seatbelt bolt right now) and I'll be done. Hope y'all like it!

1) Easy Mac FTW! :)
2) Looks good so far
3) Is there a reason you mounted the amp upside down?

Well the amp is really upside down, RF built it so the logo could be flipped depending on HOW it was mounted. I mounted it that way so the Speaker terminals were closer together and there wasn't as much wire showing. When I'm finished, there will be as little wire as visible. Like the power/grounds/remote all on the right side and barely visible and the rca's/speaker wire on the left. Just trying to keep it clean. I just need to get a flathead, pop the logo off and flip it and reinstall it.

I'm hoping maybe tomorrow to finish it completely.

i love the cheesy mac picture too!

Nice and simple. Good deal.
Just wondering...
Any reason you didn't make it shallower and wider?

A buddy of mine had two old Sony's with 400 watts in the cab with a custom box we made to fit the entire back section. It was pretty nice. I love being right in front of the speaker though, you don't need near as much power to get the SQ out of it.

Pandora,

Leftover box lying around. Next install it will be shallower and almost the entire width of the truck. But it's a proven box from my Explorer install and because I all ready had it, it saved me a little bit of money (college student, saving is good!!). Works well, I wish I could get a Termlab on it just to see how much it's going cause it POUNDZZ!!

But thanks for the compliment! I'm finishing it all tomorrow with better grounding location and also black carpet. Once that's done I'll post up some more pictures, I'm super proud of this one though.

Yeah, I hear that saving money part...
It took me about um........ 5 years to finally start investing in my system. Everything I have had in the past have all been old Hand-Me-Downs or Yard Sale scoop-ups.

What size AMP is that Rockford? I don't have much experience with their amplifiers (Never owned one, only done about two installs with them). And is it just me, or do you have two power and two ground terminals on the amplifier?

Ima get my friend that has the box for the two twevles to take a picture of it. It isn't in his truck anymore (He wrecked ti), but I will show you what it looked like if he still has it laying around.

You're correct, two power and two grounds. It's a serious beast.

It's an old school Rockford Fosgate 700s, puts out 350 watts rms per channel. The only thing I don't like about it is it eats power like it's going out of style and it's gets REALLY hot when played for over 30 minutes or so...

I need to take a pic of the down firing box I just finished for my 03 edge excab. It is 1 cu ft sealed with a ED e3 12 DVC in it. It hits hard as hell for a single 12.I covered mine with spray on bedliner. I think it looks good.

This is what is in my truck now... ugly as hell but it hit a 137 on the TL...

Upgrading to 15" Kicker CVX soon.
