Help! Just finished installing the new valve body with the six solenoids on my 95 Explorer and buttoned everything up and the truck is not moving at all. Pour new 8 quarts Mercon fluid and shifted all gears and none are moving and I'm stuck high at the Rhino ramps.:(

Took three start up and the truck finally move and got it off the ramps, but now it takes 10 seconds or more to shift into reverse or drive. Valve body not compatible?

Truck not moving again. Jacking it up and take the VB off and putting in back the old one. OD flashing is better than not moving.

Did you use a 1/4" drive In/Lb torque wrench on the valve body bolts? You might be low on fluid. Did you add fluid with the engine running? Your vehicle is on an incline on ramps, and will throw off the reading on the dipstick.

Thanks Brooklyn Bay. No I didn't. I've just tighten it criss cross pretty tight. I'll leave it at the ramp and pick one up at Home Depot in the morning. How many pound per sq in by the way?

I'm going to take it off and match it up to see what I've got. I've just popped it in as is after receiving the unit from 800700tranny. Right now I'm shopping for a 1/4" torque wrench and Sear has 2, but is over 200.00 each. I'm going to take my time on this redoing it this time. Thank you much.

I'm heading to Harbor Freight for the 20.00 one, Home Depot don't have it only 1/2 and 3/8. Before I left, the one from 800700Tran sent me did matched up all the grooves, holes. Let me pick up the wrench and I'll go from there. Thanks for your help.

You're lucky to have a Harbor Freight so close by. I don't have any locally, and would have to travel into the next state to go there. It's easier for me to buy from them online than travel so far (not to mention the gas & tolls absorb any savings). Which state do you live in?

Waxhaw, North Carolina. Have to drive 35 minutes to one of the two Harbor Freight in Charlotte. Just came back with the torque wrench and tighten to 71 inch pound and retorque it at 80 in. Now this is my old VB I put back in, still a very long delay in shifting. Fluid is fresh and full, I'm going to disconnect the battery and see if it still do the same. It's dark and raining out here so might have to leave truck at the ramp till it stops.

Torqued to the specs and the new VB/solenoids is a no go. I had to put the old one back and it's running back to normal. Will contact 800700Tran to get a replacement or refund.:(
