I just bought some auxiliary driving lights that I want to mount to the top of the front bumper. To do this, I'll have 2 L-shaped brackets, one end attaching to the inside bolt between the frame and bumper, sticking out between the bumper and grille, and the the light mounting on top of that.
I've read that the airbag sensor is very close to the top of the frame rail where the bumper attaches to. Are there any precautions I need to take while bolting these pieces on? I need to disconnect the battery anyway to wire the lights up, so should I totally disconnect it to be on the safe side?
