This will save you lots of time and foul language. The driver's side header is usually pretty easy to put on. When I did the passenger side on my '96 5.0, the collector was a little too far forward and it made it a PAIN IN THE @$$ to intall the header. Well, I just did my passenger side on my '99 5.0 today and came up with a little method that make it pleasurable to install.
Get a chain and a come-a-long. Wrap the chain around the collector, route it down through the body, over the t-bars. Attach the come-a-long to the leaf spring mount. AND pull that SOB out of the way.
If anyone is planning on installing headers, this will make it tons easier!
