My headunit is now in chicagoland:bounce: It was supposed to be delivered friday, but I wasnt around, so Ill get it monday. Anyway, I got it from crutchfield, so i have the tools I need, the mounting kit, and the amp bypass wiring kit.

Knowing that I have all the stuff, and instructions from crutchfield, how hard should this install be??? Do you think I can do it? how long will it take me? thanks a lot :) Ill have pics up ASAP

Install

You should not have any problems installing your CD player. If you do have problems, Crutchfield has a very knowledgable staff to answer your questions. I once installed a Sony CD player, (2) JBL 6x9s, and (2) JBL 4" in a Volvo (these cars suck for installing stuff!)....I had a few questions about fuses and wire colors and Crutchfield answered all my questions quickly when I called their 1-800 number!

Earlier this year I installed a JVC MP3 HU in my 99. After soldering the wires in the adaptor, the install took about 5-10 minutes. A piece of cake.

Good luck and enjoy.....

The Ford single SIN radios are cake to install. Just get the Ford tool to remove your stock radio, slide the new radio's cage in, solder up your adapter to the radio's plug and wires, hook them together, slide the new radio in. You don't need any of the mounting kits that most places will try to sell you.
