Installing Pioneer Double Din DVD Receiver

I ordered the Pioneer AVH-X2700bs for my 2004 Sport Trac which currently has the factory am/fm radio with single CD and no factory subwoofer. Ive been trying to find a project demonstrating the steps for installing a double din. I have a decent idea but what be great to see it be done by someone else as well.

I've never installed an aftermarket radio in my Trac but taking the center part of the dash is pretty easy if you have any qualms about that. I think [MENTION=22524]theluke19[/MENTION] did though. Here's his page. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=351257

If you ordered the radio through crutchfield then it will have a plastic install kit with any needed trim rings to make sure there are not any funky gaps.

I installed the AVH-2600bt in my wifes car and it is not any harder than a single din aside from the silly parking brake wire for video (or bluetooth pairing).

Did you order a wire harness adapter as well?
