When did Interco's TrXus M/T get so expensive??

When I purchased my set of 33x12.5R15's back in 2008, they were about $160/ea. Now they are about $245!!

What's up with that?

I guess the secret is out - these are great tires but damn!

Just had to vent.

Interco is just trying to get you to switch over to BFG KM2s ;)

It's because the cost of raw rubber has has skyrocketed. I work for an industrial distributor and we sell industrial hose, hydraulic hose and conveyor belt. Since Jan 2011 we have had 3 price increases from one of our suppliers totaling close to 33%.

Could also be an import tax on tires. I had to get a set a year or so ago (of a different brand), and the nationwide shop tried getting me to buy all four at once. I said I didn't have the money, and I was mainly interested in replacing the two oldest ones 1st. I was warned that Obama was going to put in place a new tariff on imports starting the next month.

Check the Constitution Congress makes the laws and sets tariffs not the Executive branch.

its definately cause of the cost of rubber going up.. In 2008, it was 5 year low and since then it has skyrocket close to $230 a pound
