Interesting MAF diagnosis

I ran across this on the internet, it details what looked like a transmission problem, eventually traced to abad MAF... but the MAF had not even thrown a code. Good reading on both this diagnosis, and on why things can be wrong and you may not have a CEL on, or necessarily catch it with a more sophisicated scanner. Also the limp mode where the computer "invents" expected signals is described somewhat. Good reading.
