The interior lights DO NOT illuminate when I open any of the doors or hatch.
The interior lights DO illuminate when I push the switch on the lights themselves.
The dimmer switch does nothing. I do hear the relay "clicking" when I turn the dimmer switch off and on. The interior light fuse is ok.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Interior Lights

Could be a former law enforcement vehicle. A friend has a Crown Vic that does exactly the same thing, and we know that it was a former Police Car.
Set up so the interior lights don't come on during stakeouts, etc.

Bought brand new and they worked before. Thanks for the info though.

There have been several posts here about problems with the courtesy lamps. Usually the door ajar lamp is on too and sometimes other weird electrical problems. Several people have reported finding a broken ground wire inside the flex conduit between the driver's door and door jam. Fixing the broken wire resolved it for them. I think you need to take the door panel off the door and then work the conduit back into the door a bit to expose the wires inside. Pull on the wires to see if one is broken.

Interior Lights off

In looking at my light switch trying to understand your problem, I found that if I turn the dash light switch all the way dim, then OFF (with a click) none of the interior or puddle lamps come on. I did not know this. While this may not be your issue, it helps me out when I need to keep the tailgate open for extended periods of time. Thank you for helping me out.
