interior mods

Since I have to replace my broken center armrest, I was thinking of replacing it with one in black (I have a tan interior). The thought was to also replace the door armrests and the window switch bezels with black as well.

I asked Torrie at Ford Parts Network about the center armrest and it is not available in black. Does anyone know if it was offered in black for another year or model?
If not, any ideas of how to change the color of the original?

There are no black ones available. Some have dyed their vinyl with pretty good results.

I just might have to do that. Do you know what is the best dye to use and where to get it?
