Having a intermittent problem with blower motor on my 2001 Explorer. It has the digital climate control. Some times the blower works, and other times it doesn't. It either works or not and when it does it works correctly at all speeds. Swapping from automatic, to manual fan does not do anything. If I leave it on Auto, it will come on after 30mins or so of driving, Then it may stay working for days, and then repeat same issue. Is this a resistor, blower motor issue, or a digital control issue?? Anyone have anything similar happen?

It sounds like a blower motor control module issue. It takes the place of a ballast resistor on the manual HVAC controls.

I just went thru exactly the same intermittent issue with mine. New blower motor fixed it. It's a pretty easy swap, as motor is removed from the engine compartment on the passenger side. Have to unbolt and move the cruise control actuator and the radiator overflow tank for access. Good luck.
