My brakes, or at least I'm assuming one of my brakes will squeak for seemingly no reason at random times. I was driving around this weekend and it seems to happen more often when I'm towing my brother's boat around, but when I do a hard stop or it seems from my diagnostic skills push hard on the pedal then drive off again the squeak goes away, and it's a squeak, squeak, squeak, rather than a constant squeal. And of course the speed of which picks up as I drive faster. The brakes were supposedly brand new when I bought the truck. Which was around December. Any ideas as to what it would be. I do use my parking brake, and I found out how GM does theirs on trucks w/ rear disc since my buddy had to fix his. Haven't checked out the Chilton yet, but when I get home I'm going to check it out, just wondering if they're the same design and maybe that's what's wrong is a broken parking brake. Let me know what you think.
