Hello all,
I have a 170k mile 94 Explorer, purchased cheap last winter for my kids first car. Did a long list of repairs and maintenance items to get it reliable, currently daily driving it to turn up more issues. About 250 miles a week.
Got a issue!!!
After sitting for about 30 min to a hour, hot summer days, it will crank with no start. It only does it about once a week. I crank it about 5 seconds, turn the key to off, crank it about 10 seconds, turn key to off. Then about the second or third try of this sequence, it starts right up like normal. No missing, hesitation or stalling. It starts every time cold.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike
