Hey guys,
New member, long time reader. Ok, so i have a laundry list of issues. It all started with the infamous egr and evap purge control circuit codes. I replaced both myself as ford said it would remedy the issue, didnt work, scanner (cheap one) doesnt even read the egr? Obd lists commanded and error % both at 0%? I thought, ah, its running good so ill ignore the light. This lasted a month or so until i could feel the vibration of the purge valve at the wheel and as soon as itd stop the engine would sputter a little. I thought, ok, ill unplug it. Here in fl there are no emissions test, boom, problem solved ... No a month or so more and i she starts stalling at stops. Starts right back up and didnt happen much at first. Again lacking time and $ i ignored it. Then the real problems began. The a/c clutch would engage randomly (a/c off) and cause a stutter. It stopped working as well so i just unplugged it and went on my way. Now at idle, and very randomly it will idle search and nearly stall, problem clears up at about 1500rpm and will only return sometimes when drops back to idle. I found that unplugging the egr when it is searching / chugging it will clear up in the driveway. Leaving the egr unplugged is not an option as the map sensor is built in. The egr should not activate at idle so im truly stumped. Seems to be an electrical issue?! Im short on funds but have a pretty good wrench hand. Ive owned fords all my life but this is the newest one ive owned. Ohv is my specialty minus all these bells and whistles. My 99' sport runs like a dream still but i just cant get a handle on this beast and im still paying for it
. sorry for the long winded post, its all just so weird, i feel like it has to be connected somehow. Current codes are egr and purge contol circuit, and all four 02 sensors heater circuit. I drive around live streaming the data and cant find anything out of the ordinary. Can anyone point me in a general direction? Its consuming my life and wallet. I still have 2 years to pay on this thing and it feels like it wont even run that long lol
Thanks in advance!
