Intermittent transmission gear loss - Help!!!

2007 4.0 with 5r55s trans
The issue I have is that randomly I will lose gear while in Drive. Most times this happens while driving along and a couple times only after coming to a complete stop. Sometimes I can put it in neutral and then back in Drive and will regain it. Other times this does not work and I I have to manually shift 1-2-3-D for it to work again normally. There are no malfunction lights on and I my limited scanner pulls no codes.
Thoughts on what the issue could be as I am at a loss. Thanks!!!

If its not low on fluid chances are it could the input sprag.

If you can shift to low to get it to engage again into drive is describing the failure of the input sprag for this transmission.
