Well I thought it was time I check out what is going on over here. I don't really have an Explorer, its a Bronco II, but I figure it is close.
I have been wheeling for a number of years, but have had this BII for about a year and a half.
I work for a large Equipment rental company as a field mechanic, so all of the work on my rig is done by me, most of it fabbed up by me out of junk.
Just a couple of pictures of my current progress
I may not be obvious in the pictures, but it is sitting on 33's with a Dana 44 front and an AMC Model 20 rear. Front has an Aussie locker, rear is Hobart. It is leaf sprung front and rear. The rock sliders are from a 20ft hydrolic cylinder rod cut down, very thick walls and super hard. Front and rear bumpers are made by me as well as the skid plate and on-board-air system. Winch is a MM9000.
Still working on it, but getting very close to trail ready.
Anyway, that's me and my rig.
Scott
