I have some of the IPF Driving / Fog combo lights on my grill guard (see this ) and I noticed my little lower driving light was out :(

I opened the case and found the lead to the light was detached :(. Resoldering didnt help. Any ideas on where I can get a replacement bulb or bulb+assembly?

Thanks,
-----Nate

This place sells IPF http://www.autobulbdepot.com/
You can find the bulb size and order bulbs anywhere. IPF uses the same bulbs as all the other light MFG.

Problem is the bulb seems fused to the glass chamber like IPF made the bulb and little glass peice stay together. Ought I cut the negative wire too and try to force the old bulb out?

If you don't understand what I mean and want to see pics... just let me know.

Thanks

I don't want you guys to think I'm some kinda noob that can't even figure out how to change a light, and I need some help/adivce on this one, so I went ahead and took some pics (give them a while to load, my computer has to resample them then send them to you). Pictures 12-14 are pictures of the driving light assembly, the only ones you need to look at.

I'm thinking I might need to email ARB and find out how to get a replacment driving light assembly?

Thanks for any help,
-----Nate

What I think is that they,IPF have used a dichoric lense & bulb assy. It doesnt come apart. I would call Autobulb or where you got the lights for a replacement assembly. There is an 800# for autobulb.

My PIAA 1100X lights are like that. The bulbs are a one piece deal with the lens and cost about $45 a "bulb". Really sucks, but they are bright.

You're going to have to order it as a unit and just drop it in.

hey, nweibley...where did you get your ipf lights? i have been thinking about replacing my piaa 520 fogs and 1500xt driving lights with the same ipf's that you have. how is the performance? is the driving light yellow/amber as well? sorry for all the questions, but i have never seen these lights in person, just in the arb catalog, an i thought they were pretty cool. btw...how did your light problem work out? thanks in advance for your answers.

Honestly, they were on the brushguard when I bought it (used) so I have NO idea where they came from. The performance is very good, they are bright as anything, and with fog+driving on you are well prepared to go into some pretty poor visibility situations. The driving light is amberish yellow.
If you find a place to buy them from, tell me so I can replace my driving light bulb! :)
