Is 31x10.5 the best tire size for an X w out a lift?

You could try a 30x9.5x15at, it's what i'm running right now and i haven't had any issues.

Although, I plan on lifting mine 2" and I'm not sure if it's gonna look goofy with a barely larger than stock tire.

Also, try Dana's website; they have a chart that will tell you your gear ratio using the axle code on the decal on the driver's door.

go to walmart get the wrangler radials. they are $80-90 a peice. awesome thread. i had them for near 60k miles and they looked new. do awesome in the snow. they are 235/75/15 which are stock. i did a good amount of wheeling with them

Some of the nicest tires man! i swear by them. they lasted me so long and never showed wear. i only got rid of them because i went biggger :)

I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but my experience is that the taller tires rub on the sway bar, so your turning radius decreases. No biggie, just something to know going in to a taller tire.

My 32's just grave th sway bar at full lock so my radial really isn't effected I just don't hit the throttle when at full like just easy it around but really how often do you turn all the way at a high speed
