I was able to get cardomain to pricematch 2 other sites and for $500 shipped to my door I can get....

1 MTX FEX10A Thunderform (sub with internal amp)
and
4 Infinity 6812cf 2-way speakers for the doors.

This is exactly what I've wanted for about a year now, I'm an audio newb and don't need any huge bump, just a little upgrade. :)

500 bucks is a pretty big deal to me though, so I'm looking for feedback from those with more experience than I on whether that price looks kosher or can I do better?

Thanks in advance to anyone who reads this and takes the time to reply.

Any thoughts?
Bump for today :)

I went through this decision making process with my thunderform too. The amp'd version is your big issue. If you go non-amp'd and add a separate amplifier you will be cheaper, have more power, and sound flexibility. The down side is more wiring and need to put an amp somewhere. I chose the non-amp'd. May I suggest looking at hifisoundconnection (where i got mine) for $210 plus a cheap 2ch amp that can bridged amp (very happy with blau amp - try PA2150 at ~$70 on ebay) If its reasonably small it can sit under the back seat. I have not figured in shipping but you would probably save $100.

Thanks for the reply! And glad to see another member from MD too!
Yeah I have pretty much decided on the amped version because like you said, it's less wiring and saves me from having to store an amp. I know the sound may not be as good, but I don't need to shake windows anyay, lol. :)
I will check out your recommendations though, I am holding myself to making a purchase on monday.
