Is a 302 dip stick a 302 dip stick?

I mean, can I just get any dip stick and tube for a 302 for my Explorer? Or do I need an Explorer-specific one?

I broke the handle off mine, as well as bent the tube a little too much during the header install, and I want to replace the whole deal while I have my headers off this weekend.

So can I just order this one from Summit or do I need to get one from the dealer?

i think i would go to a dealer and ask,

because i don't believe that all 302's would have the same dipstick, obviously in some applications more oil would be required,

i would definitely go to a dealer or a scrap yard

Called the dealer today. They seemed to have discontinued the tubes. Still have the sticks for $15 though.

His advice.. go to the junkyards.
