I have been thinking about getting a coil spacer and add a leaf lift but cant decide if I want to spend the money on it or not, so any of you that have this lift is it worth the money and is it a good idea? thanks for the advice!

I have the F-150 spacers/Warrior shackles in my X and I love them. There is only one problem with dooing this mod. Just like any other mod you do, once you do it, you want to do more, go bigger, faster, etc.... Would I recomend dooing it? YES! Just be ready to go bigger within a few years! :D

great thanks for the advice ! :D I got permission from the old lady ordered my kit today cant wait to get it here and installed :)

You probably are already aware of this, but you will need to get an alignment after putting the spacers on. The cost is between 100-200 dollars depending on where you take it.

I called the local chrysler dealer that my fathe rused to work at and a buddy told me he could align my truck for about 60 dollars does this sound about right?

Did you let the dealer know that you are putting spacers on up front? I think most of the price to align it is because you need new front camber bushings or alignment cams......whatever you want to call it. I think the cams alone on mine where 100 bucks total for both of em. 60 dollars sounds a little low but if they can do it for that, I'd go for it!

In some rare cases (like mine) you can have it aligned without new bushings. It all depends on the tolerances of your bushings. I got lucky!

My alignment costed me $80.00 with a 50% off coupon @ Mineke. Here in Alaska things are expensive anyways.

Good luck!

I let him know it would have a coil spacer lift so maybe hes cutting me a deal but I will go ahead and get some other estimates first to get a better idea just in case the guy dont know what hes getting into.

would I be able to buy the cam bushings myself and bring them with me? If I could where would I get them at?

That a good question, and there is a good answer...YES. The alignment shop will most likely tell you that you need new bushings, and which ones, and also offer to install them for about $50 a side. Tell them you'll take the bushings (about $30 for both) and install them yourself. Make sure they carry the degree you need (I know Sears only carried 1.5*, and I needed 2 or more), anyway, if they don't carry what you need, a local autoparts store can get you Moog ones, probably cheaper, and all you have to do to install then is....

1) Remove the tire
2) Remove the upper balljoint snap ring, loosen completely the pinch bolt (12mm, 12 point, or standard 12mm sometimes on newer ones).
3) Pry out the old bushing, and pound the new one in.

Hope his helps.
