is it bad calipers?

got my front rotors and pads changed and it was ok for a while and then the rubbing sound started again (passenger side again like before). So my guess is that its not releasing all the way. Whats the problem here with this thing?
Otherwise I will have to wait til i have money to get new calipers.

Check your caliper bolts to make sure they did not back out. This is a common problem. If they did back out ream the place that did the work a new ass.

I had something like this happen. There was a scraping noise on my passenger side when I drove, but I had neither the means nor the money to fix it. One day, it decided to seize up completely while I was in stop-n-go traffic on the New Jersey turnpike. Let me tell you, that was a bad day. I spun my tires for a while before that thing partially unstuck enough to drive. I gutted out the drive home and was greeted with a shredded rotor and a thouroughally fried caliper at the end of it.
Word to the wise. If you diagnose it as a stuck caliper, get it fixed sooner rather than later or you will be paying out more money than before (expecially since you already got new pads and rotors).

yeah...my problems started when the warranty ran out, bought it used. Not really suprised. Same old song and dance

Jack the car up and turn the tire to see if its hanging up. If not, I would check your wheel bearings, mine were loose cause a rubbing sound. You calipers never retract from your rotors, they simply won't be exerting any force against it. They are not like drums, there are no spring to retract the piston after you let off the brake, so the pads will always touch your rotor a bit.

Check your brake shims. The brake shop that did my last brake job put the metallic sheet metal shims in backwards and after the first 100 miles wore off the new pads the shims came in contact with the rotors and produced a horrible squealing sound. Went to AZ and bought the 7 dollar brake hardware kit, replaced the shims and no more noise. Last time I let anyone else do a break job.

Are you sure the noise is coming from the front?
If not, check your rear brakes as well.

It sounds like a grinding noise sometimes, mostly its rubbing though, and at higher speeds its not as noticeable. Took it for a test drive on about 50mph and when i got back into town it was grinding alot more and it squealed a few times, coming from the passenger side seems like. I took the tires off, and get a rubbing sound when moving the rotor by hand on the passenger side, theres a slight rubbing sound on the drivers side one. Would shims be the possible thing to make it go away? Both brake pads are making full contact from what i can see.
