Is it ok to take the silver fuses out and leave them out?

I just put my remote starter box where the cigratte lighter is and I took all the wireing out from the cigratte lighter. I left the plug hanging down and I took out the silver fuse that controols the cigarette lighter so it doesn't cause a fire or something. Is it ok to leave this fuse thing out?

Yes thats fine. There might be something else on the same fuse as the lighter though.

there is something else on the fuse but it is just the flash to pass thing and I don't really use that annayways. But if I take this thing out it won't cause a problem with other stuff?
