Whenever I put in a certain CD, its just this one, even turned down low, it sounds like something is hitting the covers on the speakers. Is it because that cd has alot of bass in it? What I did was have a friend bring his original cd in and I made me a copy of it to have and the original cd dont make that kind of noises, so is it just the cd?

Try the CD in another system and see if you hear the same sound.

i have found that sometimes copied CDs don't work very well in vehicles. i have the 6 disk changer and it won't even play this one CD we copied. It acts like there is not even a disk!

Older units made by kenwood and some alpines wont play cdr's, but I've never heard of them making any kind of sound like that, they just simply will not play. Look at the bottom of the cdr and make sure the dye isnt flawed. Otherwise, if its a bass cd or anything, and the sound is like a flapping sound it is probably just your "premium ford sound system" showing that it is not all that premium and is bottoming out.

It's most likely the burned CD then. Try using silvers, they're more reflective. The reason is most likely that the burned CDs aren't etched as deep as originals, and therefore, the laser sometimes doesn't reflect as well or as focused as an original back to the "eye". I don't know if it makes a difference, but I always burn audio CDs at no more than 2x. Sony Playstations suffer from this same thing, backups sometimes can't be read well.
