Hi all, the past couple of weeks I've been noticing when it's hot outside, my tranny feels like it's slipping.

I guess it's called slipping, I've only ever driven manuals before my Ex. It feels like I'm engaging the clutch. It'll rev between shifts. Is this slipping?

Anyways, it only does this when it's hot outside.

Will a complete flush fix this, albeit only a temp fix? Will I need a new tranny or is this just because the fluid could be old and needs replacing (flush)?

It use to surge between shifts, but changing the plugs and wires fixed that. (It had AC Delco plugs in it:confused: )

I'd try a fluid and filter change first. Might help before you drop big $$$$ on a new tranny.

There is about 161,x.. km on it right now, and when I bought it it had 159,x.. km, so I was able to purchase an extended warranty for the complete powertrain and seals.

So if I need a new tranny, it'll only cost me $100 (deductable):)
