Two times in the last week when i go to start my X it starts right up but all my radio stations and clock unset themselves. Should I be looking for a new battery??

if your battery was drained that far to cause that the truck wouldnt start. i think its something else. possibly a loose connection or the radio.

I'd begin by cleaning the battery terminals and cable ends. That's the first place that a high-resistance connection usually develops. Over the years, I've had lots of Ford trucks and when what you describe has happened to me, it has usually been the connection between the negative post and the cable beginning to break down.

Hopefully, it will be that simple for you. Good luck.

I have had that exact problem that Gimp was talking about....usually, there is a cracking sound when starting, during the huge current withdrawl, and the radio memory is gone....If you clean the terminals, it will be fine.

Baking soda and water applied with an old toothbrush works too...Other than that, use a wire battery brush.
