Is my trans fried?

Not much of a class to teach. Everyone makes mistakes in life, live and learn from it so history doesn't repeat itself.
Indeed so. At 17 I dumped the clutch on my dad's F150 to see the spray of dirt, which I did for an instant, just before an ear snapped off the pinon shaft yoke causing the driveshaft to flop wildly against the bed and ground ...and bed and ground and...

Doing the repair should be instructive, but the effect is mitigated the more one enjoys shop work.

My dad explained to me about what would break if I tried that. Whenever I feel the urge I watch others do that on YouTube.
