Except for a few smaller bolts. 5/16 trim stuff and what not I'm finding it is all metric. Is this correct as I hate packing more tools than I really need.

For the most part yes, most of the nuts and bolts you would need to access for normal maintenance and roadside emergencies are metric.

Actually I believe the 5/16" stuff is actually 8mm. They are virtually identical in size.

Nitro your gonna love that tool kit. I got it last year to keep in my car incase **** hits the fan while i'm on the road. Its awesome, go over to a friends house, need tools, boom there, something happens while i'm out and about and need tools, boom they are there. Its super nice. Two bungee cords across the top and held down on the hooks in the bed keep that sucker in place even when going around sharp corners.

Sweet! I'm going to go wrench with it today! I'll keep some of my harbor freight junk for using with my impact wrench and baby this set!

I've found a number of bolts where a six point standard socket fits better than the similar size in metric, but that's about it. The lug nuts are also 3/4", but you can just throw one of those in a small metric kit and it's all you need to tote around with you.

That 260 pc set is pretty nice, even better deal when it goes down to 169.99 on certain holidays, though.

Hopefully not on the 4th, that'll hurt some.. Still enjoying having better tools!

Sears has a "price protection" policy, so if it goes on sale for less within 30 days or so, you can bring it back with your receipt and they'll refund the difference. You can only do it once, though. Worth the trouble for saving $20-30. You'll save yourself thousands of dollars doing your own wrenching rather than paying labor or the hassle of poor tools, so they're worth it even at full price.

Well the one you got, #34260 is still $219.99, but the *other* 260 pc. set, with grey drawers, #36260, is now on sale for $169.99...
