Is there anyway to adjust your caster on the front left wheel on an explorer?

I was told there is no adjustment bracket of any sort for the caster on my 95 explorer. I even saw it with my own eyes the front right had 'em but the front left didn't. Also the dealer told me a while ago that I needed I think......caster or camber slugs whatever those are?? I went and had my alignment done today and the front left specs are 3.2-5.5 I think and my caster came in just under at 3.1. Any ideas on what I can do?

If it is 3.1 I wouldn't worry about it, unless you are having handeling problems (steering not returning to center, drifting, etc..). What the dealer was referring to was a set of bolts that have eccentric washers on them. They are used to replace the upper control arm mounting bolts and allow for additional alingment adjustments.

Well ya know the reason why it actually concerned me is because I had my tire cup really bad on the front left I mean hell my shocks are shot so I'm just assuming it's that since grease is leaking out of that one in particular. I just got new tires I don't want the same thing to happen I'm replacing the shocks soon with my edelbrock performer ias.

What do you mean exactly by caster split? If you mean the specs for the front right they were 4.4 I think.
 






There is a specification for caster split. What it is for is to keep the difference between the caster on the left and on the right under a certain amount. This is to help with handeling. Basically if the caster on one side is at max spec. and the other side is at the minimum spec. the vehicle will pull hard in one direction, even if the settings (for each side) are within spec. This is where caster split makes the difference. By keeping the caster split within spec. the vehicle will handle properly, even if (as in your case) one side is borderline on its spec.

As for your tire cupping, I'd put money on the shock causing the problem.

i would also bet that it is the worn out shock, if only that one tire is screwed up.... are the rest of the shocks ok? if yes, than i bet that that shock is the problem and not improper balancing or lack of rotation

I'm hoping be a 100% sure it's the shock. Which I am like 90% right now because I think they are the original OEM shocks and I have 99k miles on it and they ride like crap. Anyhoo I'm throwin' on my edlebrocks tomorrow so that should be fun.
