Forgive the crappy spelling of the title.

Well, I am wondering if this is normal. I recently replaced both front calipers, discs, pads, brake lines, and driver side bearing assembly. I made sure I greased up the brake pins when re-installing. I notice that both front wheels show a lot more dust than the rears. The rears will look clean and both fronts will be very dark with dust. Does this sound typical? If not, I can not think of what would be causing it.

The front brakes do approx 75-80% of the braking, so it makes sense that the front brakes will wear faster then the rear, and produce more dust. Also, semi-metallic pads produce anywhere from a little to a ton of brake dust, depending on the pad compound/quality,as well as how hard you brake.
Ceramic pads, however, produce little or no brake dust, and tend to provide better, more consistent braking force over a wide range of operating conditions. ( they tend not to "fade", after repeated frequent/hard stops.)
