hey guys! i'm going on vacation for 15 days and i'm going to park my mounty at somebody's driveway while i'm away since theyre in a safer neighborhood and only own 1 car (i dont trust the people here at my apartment place..) .. and i was thinking of disconnecting the fuel reset connector so nobody can run the car while i'm away..

are there any adverse effects in doing this?

Thanks!

That was random. Ha

Sorry.. Springfield is where Potomac Steel is located, my main source for steel :D:thumbsup:

there is no negative effect on it at all... its just like shutting your car off it just shuts off the pump... they recomend you do it if you do any work back on the tank as it is...

If the 97 is PATS equipped, just park it and forget about it. Nobody's going to drive it off without a key.

But yes, you can pull the fuel pump fuse, or the ignition fuse, or trip the reset... whatever floats your rubber ducky.
