hey guys i been having a problem with my heat (it not getting real hot and if won't blow out of the vents no matter what setting its on) well i did the actuator arm fix, replaced the thermostat and flushed the system,my question is the ball shaped part right below the air filter (sorry don't know the name of it) well it has two lines/hoses, running out of the back of it one is running towards my valve cover and the other doesn't go any where???? is this suppost to be connected to something i looked at the end of it and it doesn't have a hole in the end like a hose or anything it just looks like a 6 inch solid peice of line??????????

Could be the vacuum line for the heating bypass valve. It's located near the firewall, passenger side. You'll see the heater hoses running into and out of it, along with a vacuum line (or lines - can't remember if more than one). This is where the hot coolant is shunted from going to the heater core when you have MAX AC on. If the valve is stuck closed, you will get little or no heat.
